    Hey All

Could anyone give me some info about the black tip grass that seems to be a type of bermuda?

It leaves black marks all over your shoes.

    Thanks

Are you seeing this just recently? I have a church I mow with some common bermuda that seems to have several places with a type of "mold" or "soot" on it. It almost looks like someone spilt motor oil on it.

Bermuda seed heads that are just coming up and not yet opened look black on some common varieties of bermuda, and it does come off on your shoes. It appears to be pollen or immature seeds, not sure which.
