Blade clutch and not running full speed

    2 part question,(1)Can running a mower at slower speeds have an effect on the clutch?(2)Does it matter what speed the engines running to engage and disengage the blades?

    1. ) Yes. Peak torque is produced at a lower RPM than Peak HP. The clutch may be designed for the HP but not the torque.

    2.) Yes. If the RPM of the drive shaft is high, it can cause the clutch to slip too much before properly engaging. That will cause excess wear and tear.
