does any aftermarket company make a blade comparable to the scag marbain blades? I hate the cost of them and almost think i could by 3 sets for what one set of them costs. i know oregon has the fusion, but not a high lift like i prefer. i love how long the marbains stay sharp but 30 bucks a blade is nutty

I run Ferris mowers and they have the longer lift foil and made out of Marbain Steel. I Found some Xtreme blades they have the same lenght lift foil and are made out of Marbain Steel. I'm on my first set of these blades and they seem to cut just as good and last just as long. I need to get some more run time on 2 or 3 more sets to give a honest review. I gave $38 dollars a set I had to order thirty blades to get thay price if you order 100 you get a even better price. I have the ICD deck thats similar to the Velocity decks and there isnt a blade thay i can find that cuts as good as the long lift foil blades.

the only issue is the ferris are .250'' thick, i think my 36'' likes the thinner .203 blades better as its only 15hp (18 by old rating). they are awesome cutting blades i just wonder if there is a geometrically identical cheaper option that may be cheaper to buy a few sets and swap em more often

I run Ferris blades 3 21'' on a 61'' Husqvarna .The blades I got I paid $33.82 for a set of 3 but they are not the high lift .I like them they are close to the OEM Husqvarna that was on it from the start.I got a set of Scag was $63 but I have not use them so I do not know how I will like the high lift blades.
