Blow outs and the big east coast storm potential problems

    In Maryland we start in late sept for the snow birds heading south , after oct 15 it gets busy , we are done by dec 15 . anything past thanksgiving is pushing it .

    I think it's always easier closer to the coast, because the temperatures moderate from the ocean's influence.

    We tried to have our winterize done in November. One year, we had other install/ ground work and started in December, bad move. :hammerhead:

    The PNW has very little frost depth. Just drain the backflows and pumps. The rest is a scam.

    Not a scam when we had a hard freeze. I told would-be clients it was cheap insurance.

    Sprinkler heads freeze but pipes don't often except at the back flow device. Lot's o SAMS split

    Right now were almost 3 weeks booked up with 4 routes- starting the 5 winterizing route this wednesday

    Cheap insurance for a little piece of mind one time a year isn't a scam.

    I never say you have to do it. I recommend it to be done, state it's a hit or miss that you never know how the weather will be

    Last year we had a week straight of low 20's into the teens and single digits.. I would call that a deep freeze for washington

    yes, lol. i work 7 days a week during season. no problem here:weightlifter:
