just wondering if somebody could recommend a good blower for a homeowner.i have been looking at the handhelds.mostly at lowes.the husqvarnas looked to be pretty sufficient for what i do but they seemed a bit heavy. i havnt looked at the stihls ,jonsreds or redmaxs.i need your guys opinion. thanks. :)

I have a Stihl BG 85, its a great piece of equipment, better than anything i've seen at the big box stores.

For a homeowner a Stihl BG55 at $150 is tough to beat in my opinion.

The BG85 is also a good blower but the cost goes up to $230...............same engine, different carburetor, nicer handles, etc.

I will second the Stihl units but I ended up trading up to a BP earlier this year after my handheld siezed on me. I ended up with the Husky 145BT and it works great for my needs.

I totally agree. I looked at both and am very satisfied with the $150 BG55.
