    I love the stihls.. but I have not tried any others so my opinion is biased....

    I like the Stihl too, they are just very hard to start after a year or so. Never again. Redmax is my next purchase.

    Thanks guys for all of your input, it made the decision much easier. Went out yesterday and bought a redmax 7001. Plenty powerful and not all that heavy for the short time i had to play around with it yesterday. Thanks again guys.

  5. I have two stihl's. I've had them for about a year now and never had a problem. Also they were much cheaper than the echo's.

    I just bought the Redmax 7001 and all I can say is HOLY bleeep Batman! Sweeeeeet.

    My used stihl br420 came in today and I must say, after changing the air filter, and spark plug and fixing a broken on off switch it started right up...

    I must say i had the cleanest alley on the block testing it out. :D
