Went to cut my own lawn today. Walk around and i noticed there are blue spots on my lawn. It looks like it on the full lenth of the blade and in different parts of the lawn when you push it with your foot it looks like smoke? what is this and how can i treat it.

Sounds like powdery mildew, you could spray it with a fungicide but it should clear up on its own when. if it really bothers you take a broom and sweep it off the grass!

It is more likely slime mold. It occurs during hot humid conditions. Not white but various colors which give off a mass of powdery spores. They can make your hands dirty. A fungus, but actually does not harm the grass. It is on the grass--not in the grass. It can be brushed off or rinsed off with a strong stream of water.
