I bought a used Bluebird dethatcher (works great) and a couple blades are bent. Do any of you feel this is a bid deal? Also, do I ever need to sharpen the blades?

When the blades get rounded and worn, take them off, turn them around and use the otherside until they are worn down and round. Then remove them and replace with new ones. There is a big difference between squared blades and rounded ones in terms of performance.
