When going up steep hills, the mower will pause as if something is slipping, then it jolds forward causing the front end to come up. The belts only have about 80 hours on them... is my tranny goin? What kind of preventative maintenance should I be doing for the tranny and how often?

I have this same problem, but my doesn't jolt it just quits pulling and stops. Its like the transmission doesnt want to pull its own weight.

I don't know how the bobcats work, but with my ferris you can see the bar that the transmission controls. If it is spinning then the tranny is not your problem. If it stops.. then it is.
