I was @ my local dealer today & am looking to upgrade from that weak 10.5 hp stealth. I saw the bobcat classic and was wondering if any people have had any experiance w/ this machine and what you think of it. Thanks.

I bought a classic in 92 and it has been a workhorse. Original spindle bearings are still tight, no deck cracks, original gearbox still good, quality bushings in the levers, drive works great even when wet, [within reason], all pulley bearings, top quality, very good machine, yet light enough for soft turf. If they baffled their deck similar to Exmark I would buy a new Hydro with a floating deck.

In my opinion, the new "classic" Bob-cats arent worth the money. They sell for about 2500 and for about 3500 you can get the commercial grade bobcats. Thats what i would do. Try for info on the bob-cat mowers. By the way, any bob-cat product is good, even the classic.
