Here are a few pictures of the new Bobcat T870 that I took at the HNA and GIE+E expo in Louisville Kentucky a month or so ago. These are the only pictures I have, i wasn't supposed to take pictures of it. :drinkup:This is a huge CTL, it looks and is a lot bigger than a T300. Don't quote me but i think the sticker said it was around $70,000!! I got to sit in the machine and the cab has a ton of room in it and it was very comfortable, the M series cabs are nice. I didn't like how there was so much engine behind the cab though. When your sitting in the machine it seamed like there was 5ft from you to the back of the machine. Unfortunately Bobcat didn't have this machine in the outdoor demo area so I didn't get to try it out. This machine would probably make for an excellent replacement for a small dozer.

I can't imagine a construction company buying this and passing on some of the cheap small dozer deals out there. Also the hours on a skid platform will have a tough time paying off 70k. Interesting changes though we'll see if this is the size ceiling.

There's no way it can replace a small 8 ton dozer, it might have more than a Cat D3 horsepower, but the pushing power and balance won't be there.
I could get more done with a little Deere 605 loader for $70,000.

My bc dealer has two in that he is showing to farmers. Its big. Farmers want tracked machine to move around bales, lift more and higher. Tough life being a farmer lately wondeirng where to go with the money!

What would you have to charge to come out on this thing? This is not a Bobcat bashing just more the size and expense. I am pretty much very pro-skidsteer but at that size just go with a real track loader or dozer?

The track machine is above my range of equipment but I was at BC dealer again getting filters and those machines are big let alone trailering that thing. He said two farmers are looking and they have the payloader's but want something to lift and dump and be able to get in and out of barns where as the wheel loader is to tall. He never did tell me a price though but there just big.

how big do ya really need in a skid. I have an S650 and for me that is just right.
