Boom Trailer

    I am picking up more and more tree work,is a boom trailer the way to go?

    No... Im in the Tree Care Industry and there useless your logging. We have a chipper and a 5x10x trailer. And if we cant chip it then we take our trailer. And if you load the trailer right you can unload it easily. The "boom trailer" would probably cost to much, you could probably get a decent used chipper for as much as that would cost. I would say use a dump or reg. truck for the logs and trailer for brush, or truck and chipper (chip in truck) and another truck and trailer for logs.

    do you mean like a manlift? if so, they have to stay hooked to a tow vehicle to get them to a tree, folks may not want you driving in their yard. the ones ive worked on...snorkellift and genie...seemed like they worked ok.

    sorry,I did mean man lift, we saw the genie tz50 and it looks like it can improve our business,save man hours and increase saftey.
