Had to think a bit to recall what you were referring to with the dinghy!

I prefer happy customers and not replacing heads before 5 years. I have 30+ year old Toro rotors that still don't leak.:dizzy:

Shafts are always scored/grooved. A new seal wont fix that.

As crazy as it may sound , people are more likely to complain about a service call and a $2 part then a service call and $25-$30 for a head.

Like I said, replacing Hunter with RainBird. It makes you look bad when the equipment you install doesn't last 5 years.

Not enough water in most houses here to run rb,s and do matched. Nozzle selection dosnt go low enough. I have been putting some rb,s in new installs running full circles. Also been testing out krains too.

I just deposited a check from a customer , tech was there last week changed 8 pgp,s . This is after I changed 12 at startup. Not one leak all stopped turning because of massive iron buildup. Gotta say I was kinda shocked not to see any leaking.

Pretty sad if you can't run 1 gpm 90's and 2 gpm 180's. Krain's are nothing more than upgraded PGP's.
