I am no landcaper buy a long shot so be gentle. I am trying to put a circle of bricks around 4 trees. I dug a little trench around the tree and set the first layer of bricks in there but it looks pretty bad. I know people set sand in before they do stuff like that but i did not know if that is what i should do. Any help on getting this level would help. The trees sit on a very slight hill. I is maybe 3 inches higher in the back of my circle and it is messing me up. Like i said any help would be great.

If your just doing a ring you might want to set them in cement. Either way you will have to retain them somehow especially on the bottom of the grade. If there is a 3" difference in that short if distance, you may want to pitch them rather than laying flat. Could also use block.
