Briggs 31 RPM

    Lenny,
    I know the no load rpms should be 3750 but what should the engine rpm be with the blades engaged to insure proper tip speed on 66" deck (with pully upgrades)? Also, what is the thread size on the oil drain port?

    WBB,

    Thanks for writing in. Governor droop should be no more than 100RPM. If your no load is set at 3750, then it shouldn't drop below 3650 with the blades engaged. Keep in mind, it does very little (if anything) to performance to turn up the high idle, it's the governor setting that is the true performance enabler.

    The thread on the oil drain is an M14 x 1.5.
