briggs coil replacement

    ok i have 2 of those briggs and stratton 4hp motors and both of them have no spark so how do i go about replacing the coil its late and i cant get the numbers but i have a picture of this motor this one looks just like it but its not a raptor mine are just ones that came off of old snowblowers they both ran fine and i have replaced the plugs but there is no spark

    Remove the flywheel cover then remove the two screws holding the coil in place, Install the new coil pulling up on it before snugging the screws. Roll the magnet on the flywheel under the coil. Insert any business card between the flywheel and coil then loosen the coil mount screws and let the magnet pull the coil to it then tighten the screws. Roll the flywheel to remove the card.

    what about the wire that is on the coil

    The plug wire is bonded into the new coil and the kill wire lead just plugs onto the new coil.
