Just came in from mowing today with not only rain putting a damper on my lawn care plans, but with my Murray Select with a Briggs & Stratton 17.5 HP I/C OHV stopping on me. Motor will turn over with a shot of starting fluid, but will not keep running. Checked fuel line and filter with all seeming fine. Let mower sit for about 1/2 hour it started, ran a few minutes then stopped again. Does anyone have any ideas:confused:

Sounds like possibly trash/water in the carb. float bowl, partially blocked main jet or sticking gummed up fuel cut-off solenoid.

Thanks for the suggestions. I will take a look at these areas.
