I have much appreciated the input on another thread I posted, and it has helped me narrow down my ZTR choices. I'm pretty sure I'm going to go with a Ferris IS700Z or IS2000Z. I prefer the IS2000Z of course, but it's at least $1,500 more, so ya' know.....

    I can get a 52" IS2000Z for $8,000 with a Briggs & Stratton Turf Series 28 hp engine or $9,000 for a Kawasaki FX801V. The IS700Z is $6,500.

I am mowing about 5 acres, and I'd say we'd put 150 hours per year on the ZTR. Do you think the Briggs & Stratton would be sufficient for this work load?

Also, the IS2000z has dual hydro pumps & wheel motors with 8" mounted cooling fans, as opposed to the IS700Z which has dual Hydro-Gear ZT-3400 transaxles with 7" mounted cooling fans. What is the advantage of the dual hydro pumps?
