what would cause your tires to create the grass to brown? It is only in the tracks and was just wondering what could have caused it?

If the lawn was dry and stressed the tires can damage the grass.

This happens in our area when the St Augustine grass is very very dry. You push it down with the tires and apparently it breaks the stems. It don't ever come back in those tracks. The bigger the equipment the bigger the tracks but our 21" Snapper has made tracks. I have tried every thing to avoid the damage and the only thing we found to do was to use trimmer when we recognized the problem. Have had many angry customers even though it is their lack of watering that caused the problem.
