Has anybody used a brush rake on a mini-x??
Do you get the feeling the answer is No?! Just joking with ya
Nah, I just got good at picking with the teeth and using the thumb to collect debris.
I was trying to see if using a brush rake vs. a bucket get's the dirt out of the brush easer for burning or loading out,did not know if anybody has used one.
See them a lot 120's and 200's but not mini's.I'm going to build one vs. buying one.
There's definately a tool for every task, but I couldn't justify having one around, don't do that much of that type of work with our mini. I say build your own, then you have one, definately easier than using a bucket.
Scag life geting any better?
Depends on the day, today was alright. Yesterday was hairy, 13 hours and things just weren't going right. Hit a small 6 pair phone line that wasn't located correctly at 7PM after being told we had to have 350 feet of 12"X24" trench done and conduit'd by the 7AM and it was 5PM when we got the word. Some days just don't go well, but that's how it goes. Still haven't figured out what we're going to do yet, dad thinks he might keep the 312 if we can score enough work for it to keep us busy for another month or so solid, things are slowing a little bit as they always do in August. As soon as Ocotober hits we'll be doing orchard removals, but there's no reason to keep our 312 just for that, rental for a month is like $4,000, but we'll see what he decides to do. He's dropping it all on me right now, making me sell his equipment and dropping the weight of keeping the jobs coming in, our current job on schedule, getting at least the 277 sold as fast as possible, I can't do it all, but I'm having to stick it out right now. I will keep posted.
Got my brush rake build, now just need some paint to wear off!!
did you have to end up custom fabricating it?
Excellent job. I like it.
