I have a jd 5105 with a 521 loader and i need to put a set of hooks on the bucket. What size and style should i use and wher is the best place to get them?
Should i weld them on or bolt them?

Probably Tractor Supply, size depends on your chains,no smaller than 3/8,i prefer a grab hook but then again it's your preference,i always weld them on and have never seen one come off,i've bent buckets all to hell, but never had a hook let loose:p

i picked some up at Home Depot and welded them to the top of the bucket of my uncles Kubota L35. i put 3 on the front bucket, about 1" inside the left and right edge plus one in the center.

Get some tow hooks. Like ones on the fronts of Jeeps. I welded them on the top side where the top and side are joined as it is stronger.
