Looks good so far, nice and deep. Hope you are putting a locking top on it.

Is that aluminum? Even if it isn't it looks pretty sweet so far.

looks good. Whats the size of it? Looks like you need more than one 4x8 sheet.

on a side note, what model of welder do you have. I'm looking to pick one up soon. and how do you like it? 110 or 220?

The box is made of steel, the outer sides are 1 1/2inx 1/4in angle and the pieces that will go the long ways are 2x1/8 in angle. The box is 2ft by 2 ft. I am going to put a locking door on it, and one sheet of wire mesh will fit it. The welder is a lincoln 135 i believe.

Is the small welder making a good job of it? I'm thinking about doing a cage as well and have thought about buying a similar version of a 115v welder, so I don't have to build it at school.

yea, the welder is rated at 1/4in and works great, would probably due 3/8 if needed.

Our door swings down in front .....but the 2 ft is just a little short for the bigger blowers.....wish mine was a couple inches taller. Our cage is much lower for easy access is only need to be high enough for deck to fit under.

I have one of the small gassless welders from sears it is good for welding and doing small jobs but you don't get as clean of a weld froma 220
