burkeen b16 trencher

    what type of transmission oil goes into transmission. i just purchased used machine oil really low

    Transmission? I thought they were hyrdo drive. If yur talking the hydraulic system, go with AW 46 hyd oil.

    the chain digger,up, down, and steering is run by a hydr. pump. the transmission has a seperate pump, filter , and the dipstick for this says transmission oil only

    Ok got ya. Sorry I was thinking of the smaller units.. like the B-9. I really dont know! Contact your local dealer of do an internet search and see what you come up with. Sorry I cant help ya.

    thanks this morning i put two quarts dextron III in ran machine up and down a small hill for about twenty minutes, seems to work fine. tried contacting burkeen rather involved process to leave questions. nothing in general web sight . tommorrow morning i will ask old owner when they open. thanks for your help, john
