Has anybody had much luck with burning a good pattern into bermuda? I know it can be done but are there any little secrets to getting it to burn better? also HAs anyone seen the bullseye pattern? It was used at georgia southern last FB season and at U of alabama's spring game. If you have done the bullseye, what measurements do you use or how do you do it, I would really love to use that this fall... thanks for any help.

    yes,there is a trick.Never done a bullseye,but with bermuda,you gotta have a roller.
Mow the same pattern, twice per week, until the pattern stays. Then you can swap and do another pattern to get a checkerboard, etc.,,
Once the pattern is burned,I can mow once per week, but after mowing, raise the deck 1/2 inch, and either go over it again to disperse the clippings,or mow at a different angle to disperse the clippings.Just lower the roller when you raise the deck,so the roller is making contact with the grass.

well I do my all my High schools feilds ( I'm only 17 ,and I am head athletic groundskeeper at my school ) and we have a pro-mow 8 gang, and I cant get the bedknifes off so I am contemplating just using a rotary mower but using the rollers off of the reel mower, I know it can be done on bermuda but sometimes it dosent look that great ,cause bermuda dosent have a slickside like others... thats why I was askin, If anybody has tips just let me know, they are more than appreciated...
