Spring is here and the business is going crazy. Picked up 4 new residentals in a row. I also picked up 5 commerical doctors offices. All in one day. I love this time of year.

I picked up the 4 residentals while I was parked in the neighborhood. A lady drove by and stopped and asked me if I would go to her house and give her a estimate. She saw my sign on the truck. I drove over and she told me the price that the guy was doing it for. And that he was not reliable. My price was only $5 higher per month higher than his. She thought about it and said well go ahead. If I was reliable she would pay the extra $5. Then she walked to her neighbors and said that she hired me to do her lawn and then the other neighbors followed suit. It was crazy to see these old ladys getting excited for a new lawn service. I told them I was higher in price but will show up. They said that was fine. They said $5 to $10 would not matter to them. They like one good lawn service doing the work on the street on the same day. She said I will most likely get alot more work. I picked up the doctors offices from word of mouth. I do alot of work in the Doctors neighborhood. He loves the quality of work I do. He said just go by the offices and give me a price on what it would cost. He said that I will have the job no matter what. The current lawn service always had an excuse why the shrubs where not trimmed. I gave him the price and he said that would be fine and I can start in 2 weeks.

  6. How much did you end up charging for the offices?

In one day last week, I gained 9 new accounts. Two returning customers from last year that had wanted to "shop around", six from a local Realtor that I do great business with, and one that just came out of the blue.

Consequently, one of the returning customers from last year paid today. CASH upfront for the entire year!!! Isn't it great???

I put out 2k fliers this year and my phone won't stop ringing. Don't have the final count as to how many I've added but it's at least another 20 weekly plus an office complex.

I like spring but summer is better. Once you get it figured out how to do your schedule properly and get into the routine it's easier. Money's better in the spring; stress is lower in the summer.
