business manager

    My parents are moving to missouri(?) and I have decided to follow them. I have decided not to sell my company but hire a business manger to run my company. I will come back to vermont quarterly to check on the business and the bookeeper will foward me the financial report. I have decided a decent wage for the business manager will be aroun 60-65k, do you think I am over paying him or her? and what restriction if any should I put on them?

    Make sure that he/she Knows exactly what they are to do. Let him/her know about YOUR company polices and such.

    and uh, I would do it for only 45-50k a year :)

    that maybe a bit hard to run a business from that far away especially only returning quarterly!

    you still going to pay him that much after he looses all your accounts?

    You may want to consider a pay system that is based on a matrix of collected revenue and margin.
