I was wondering what you guys thought about the name of DKlawncare. Do you guys think it is a non attractive or its a pretty good name? Or do u think i should figure out another one? And the reason i ask is because i am new to this and i have only used this name for one season and my name isnt competely out their, so it wouldnt hurt if i chagned it. I just dont want to change it when its to late. Thanks for the help and any info would be appriciated. BTW, if u guys think it is a bad name, do any of you have any ideas?

I like DK Lawn Care, but do you actually do lawn care (fertilization, etc..) or just maintain it (mowing and trimming)?

Hum??? I just took on a customer two days ago. She was MAD about her last landscaper. The guy didn't even do a fall cleanup. The point, the name of his outfit was an ABC name. The lady questions me, "what does >@% landscaping even stand for?" This got me thinking. I see trucks all over with the ABC type names. I never know what they mean. A guy by me has the main letters of his operatin very big but the rest of it small. Takes the mistury out of the letters. My personal feeling, A name is what your costomers are going to tell their friends and family when asked who does their lawn. these people are your possible new clients. ABC names may not stick in their minds or get confussed with other ABC names. Your name is nice and original. But do the letters have a meaning. Let me know if you want. Then we can continue with the conversation

I do fertilizing, cutting grass, trimming, edging sidewalks, fall clean up, mulch beds and edge beds. If i do all of these services do u think i should take lawn care out of the name?

Thanks for the feedback! DK in DK lawn care stands for my last name, which is DorenKott. I like the name, but i was wondering what you guys thought about the name because some of you have been in the business longer then i have and have more knowledge on what ppl name their companies.

just a personal thought. I dont have any real reasoning as to why. kind of on the same level of how ABC names dont really work and can be confusing at times.

your in the same boat as I am. My last name is very hard to pronounce and people always question where I'm from. " Is it french or dutch or ???" WHO CARES!!! My last name won't change the quality of your lawn service. This is why I chose to name my business CRYSTAL CREEK LANDSCAPING INC instead of using my name. people will probable be able to associate DK with your last name so I wouldn't change anything. Great service will sell and your name will quickly become a staple in the area if it isn't already.

Thats good, i have never had someone ask me what nationality i am though. The thing that gets me thinking, is what would i use for a logo? (donkey kong riding a exmark????) I wonder what that would look like on the side of a enclosed trailer hahaha
