I have to ask this question...how many people on here have actually sat down and developed a business plan (not jotting down notes) and a marketing plan?

A detailed budget is about as far as I have gotten.... I don't really know how to make a business plan... and I don't have $ for marketing until 2008..

I have all my numbers in for the year and all equipment is paid off. Now maybe thinking a big walkbehind but really like the idea of not having to pay for anything this year except expenses. No payments is feeling pretty good this winter so far!

Detailed business plan: keep the wife happy, feed the kids, live on whatever is left. LOL. No, I dont yet, but definately need to get one together. First year under my belt, have a pretty good idea what I need to change. My business plan will be my New Years resolution. Merry Christmas.

I'm glad to see everyone has goals and is truly working toward them. I have been struggling day and night on our plan. It will be our first complete plan as stated above with charts. It is so common for people to "jump right in" like we did, before ever really planning.

I would suggest to anyone thinking about starting this industry to start with a real plan. It makes goals so much more attainable!
