Maybe I just haven't researched enough yet but could someone tell me if I operate as a sole proprietorship can I still have employees - ie - wife & kids?

Or do I have to be a Partnership or Corp?

    Thanks again

You can elect to have employees with any of them. As a sole-prop, you can own the business but employ your spouse. If you didn't want to have a spouse as an employee then you would want to form a parnership with them.

Thank you - my wife and I are meeting with our accountant next week to discuss the best way to do this & everything else business related.
