I used to run a lawn mowing/landscaping/snowplowing business, and it was set up as a sole proprietorship. I'm looking to get back into the business, but I'm wondering what the best type of business would be for it. I'm looking to get the best mix of ease/cost of startup, minimal liability, etc (sole prop., llc, c/s corp, etc). How are your businesses set up? Thanks,

I am set up as an LLC. It reduces my liability, was relatively inexpensive to setup, and gives me a tax benefit. Talk to your attorney and accountant for what would be best for you.

as the previous poster said - talk to an accountant & attorney - an S-Corp has worked well for me
