Its going to depend on the business. A doctors office prolly isn't going to generate much more business, but a restaurant prolly will. So you are going to have to base your sales pitch on the specific type of commercial property you are bidding.

    Here's some ideas

    1. Doctors office: It will cheer up the place so your patients will feel more comfortable.
    2. Drive through restaurant: We could do a display that enhances the drive through experience, that way more customers will be generated because they will want to drive through, order, and see the display.
    3. Sit down restaurant: Your restaurant will stand out against the others in the area, plus folks can enjoy the lights while they eat.

Make it specific to the job you are bidding. If you start throwing out stats and numbers you are going to lose your customer so fast... The only way this type of sales pitch works is if you have another customer that benefited. Say you did a drive through, and the owner said they gained 10% in sales. Then you can bring that up in your sales pitch to the drive though on the other side of town......

I know how to sell a job, was looking for actual statistics to mention as a bullet point in sales presentation.
Completly understand that a resturant would have more to gain then a Dr office.

Something along lines of according to Joe Schmo research center, having a decorated business increases sales 7.5% more than un decorated businesses and customers will spend an average of 11min more in decorated business. Just to give an idea what I can't find and seeing if anyone knows where to find, if even exist.

I have looked for this info out there for over a decade. it does not exist. and I think there are two reasons it is not out there.

1- the only people who would pay a company to research this information are folks that sell commercial Christmas decorating services. Since performing this study would probably cost 75k-200k to have a marketing company research, call a few thousand businesses or so and get real numbers, the only Christmas light companies with that kinda cash laying around that could pay for it are Christmas D├ęcor, Holidynamics, and brite ideas. And I have not seen this info from any of those 3. or...

2- They have done this research, and it did not show any positive sales result to use as a marketing tool for their sellers. So they have kept that info they paid for quiet and unpublished.
