I'm thinking about buying an existing buisness. If anyone has done this I would love to hear from you on the do s & don'ts. Besides a fair price on the equipment that I want, how do you go about putting a value on the customers? Thank you in advance. I'm sure this subject has been on here before but I couldn't find it through the search.
  2. That's probably due to most of the 191 threads I got in a search for buying accounts were in the "eliments of business" forum part of lawnsite, and you may not have searched that forum.

    Search Results 191 finds

I would look through these and find what you're looking for. I narrowed your search a bit.

Also I believe a customers value is about what 3 cuttings is worth.

    Do's n don'ts.

Biggest thing you can do and you shouldn't is let the seller dictate the term. Your money, your terms.

Pay for clients after you have serviced them to better gauruntee them keeping you.

For equipment, reserch how bad you need some one elses.
