    Here are my engine options.

    6.75-hp Briggs & Stratton Quantum™
    7-hp Briggs & Stratton Intek™ OHV
    6-hp Kawasaki OHV
    5.5hp Honda OHV

Which one should I get? And please.....don't try to convince me to buy a different brand of mower.:)

Kawasaki is my first vote, strong second is the Honda. the two B&S... no to both.

I have a JD SB14, some 12 years old now (kawasaki powered) and it still starts on one pull even in the dead of winter (sometimes 2) even after sitting for a few months! Uses NO oil, actually oil is almost new looking after a whole season (I don't put many hours on it anymore, that's why the once a season only change). HAs tons of power and torque and leaks not a drop of oil.

Do that with a 12 year old B&S....

We have 6 and 5.5 kawi's on Exmark Metro\Toro Proline 21 and Honda 5.5 on all our Honda 21-inch mowers. The Kawi beyond doubt has more torq and power then does the 5.5 HP Honda. The Honda is almost gutless in comparison to the 6 HP JF180 Kawi.I can't comment on the Briggs, never owned either.
