I was thinking about buying a stripping kit for my ferris and i had a few questions. Do Stripers have any draw backs? and what are they mostly made of?? i've never really seen one. Also how much are they?

Their usually made up of a bunch of composit rollers that fit the width your mower and cost upwards of $100 to $250 from what ive seen. But ive read a lot of post on here and seen a lot of people making their own using just heavy chain to drag the ground behind their mowers.. hope this give a little insite to your question

If you do buy one, general rule of thumb is to get one that is 4"-6" smaller than mower deck. The purchased ones look like a series of wheels that stand vertically that are attached to a horizontal bar. As the mower moves forward, the wheels bend the grass blades in one direction. On return, the wheels bend the grass blades in the opposite direction giving the light/dark colored look. Google them or you can try big league lawns website to see some pics.
