    That is a large and complex problem to solve.
     
  2. Especially after reading CADILLAC DESERT. The whole water system in that area is akin to our banking situation prior to this financial collapse.

    Gonna be a good year for me .... being a sustainable (emphasis for Bic) soil and water manager. :)

    The scarry part of that article is that the farmers have to resort to "expensive well pumping". Further depleting the San Joaquin Aquifer.

    Dude ... see if you can find some pics of the subsidence that is occurring due to over mining the aquifer.

    Recharging the aquifer from precipitation is minimal. We need a lot more then a few days of rain fall, we need sierra snow pack and some consistent rainfall.

    Subsidence?
    Last year didn't you post some pictures of houses and some cranes collapsing?
