I have a client that wants a 38' x 3', 27' x 3', 12' x 3', and a 7' x 4' pathways made from flagstone. Since the shapes of the stone are irregular is there an easy or hard way to approximate the amount of stone you would need short of measuring each piece? This is my first venture into pathways. The sand and gravel I can use a formula for but the stone has me stumped.
    Thanks

Bluestone stand up irregular flagging set tight fit we estimate at 80 SF per pallet.....but that's bluestone. Obviously there are many other options out there

I plan on 90sqft per ton for the stone available here. I also get extra stone so you have a better selection. Yes, it will suck to pull the extra stone off the job when you are done.
