can anyone help identify this?

    just found these on my green japanese maple(acer palmatum?) anyone no what this is? approximately 3/16" long each. dime is just for size referance. thank you in advance.

    Can you answer these, Is it a bug?.. lava? ...seed pod?
    Did you cut one open?
    Just trying to narrow down possibility's

    i would guess a bug eggsack,larva of some kind. yes i did squish one and found a green liquid inside
