Seems to me your newspaper ad folks should be happy to help you out. Have they told you they wouldn't?

houston, as the others have mentioned, most newspapers (all) should offer some form of free ad design service. you're paying for the ad, so you might as well get what you can out of them if it's not something you're comfortable doing.

there is no single answer for that and it may be really cheap, really expensive, or somewhere in the middle. there are many variables that dictate the price you have: circulation, demographics, prominence, ad type and size, etc.

Before you advertise flower planting and sod installation, you might want to read this, unless you've already passed the state test.......
    http://www.contractors-license.org/la/Louisiana.htm
If you haven't taken the test,I'd highly recommend you refrain from advertising those services. You'll be one of the first to get a call from the state inspector, after he sees the ad.

    Yea that is expensive.

Keep classifieds simple and I always include good words... like professional or quality or affordable. Something like that.

I just put a new classified in yesterday and it goes something like...

    AEW Lawncare
Complete professional service with affordable prices
    free quotes ***-****
