can you help me with this?

    hello all,
    i was walking in my backyard the other day looking around at the grass and i noticed in some areas where i walked there was an orange powdery stuff that came up and stuck to my shoes..the last time i fertilized was about 3 weeks ago. does anyone know what this is?

    Most likely is "rust" - a fungus .... usually not a problem if only in a small area. Usually will show more in Rye lawns and tend to thin them out. Make sure that the nitrogen levels are high enough and if it appears to be spreading, you can use Daconil as per label. Usually need 2-3 apps at 5 day intervals. Make sure you are collecting the grass until you are sure it is gone.
