I like the collection of Kohler coil wiring for the new digital coils. I see we've done a gearbox on a Dixie lately from the Tecumseh gearbox cover!!

    Good to have you back...Sharpcut...
The guys I work for have me fix anything that has moving parts...
It doesn't get boring...sometimes I get to order parts...

Believe it or not...I clean my bench every 2 or 3 months...whether it needs it or not..

Actually...my bench is clean...my parts pile has always been a fixture on every workbench I've ever worked on...
Its kinda like my personal Think Tank...I know every piece in the pile...what it came off...what was wrong with it..and why I saved it...
Fixin things is all about the finished product...you don't always need a brand new part to come up with a durable repair..

A clean workbench is a sign of a weak minded mechanic that will use a fortune in new parts..

I don't have a pile a stuff on my bench like that .Mine is in 3 different 1'w x2' long x 4" deep drawers within my workbench. There full to the top and heavy as all get out.

slapper.....I like the vice thread idea got a couple Wilton's that are quite helpful.

Personally, I use 2 liter soda bottles to sort and store most of my "junk". Most are clear, so ya see what ya got, they're tough as nails, and ya can nest em. Just cut to the needed height and as a bonus, ya get a clean funnel!

I've got 3 drawers in my old beat up SnapOn toolboxes that are jam full..
My parts retrieval system is pretty simple...
Anything the goes in the drawer gets dropped in the front...
I just try to remember how long it has been since I've seen the part...
So I know how far to go back in the drawer to start digging...

Maybe I will start a Vise and Vice thread next week...I've got a few of them myself..
