Just a shot from the forest
M.D., I did not notice a Weeping Willow in the third photo
Nothing like a fine nurse log or stump too. That's the type of forest look I enjoy so much around coastal Oregon. Some local like that too, but especially in the coast range.
Here's a waterfall near the trail to the world's tallest Douglas Fir, west of Roseburg, Oregon.
And what looks like a shaggy Bigfoot stump in the same general forest area.
Is that Stevie Nicks?(I know it's not, but I love pointing out doppelgangers) Which is such a coincidence really because she always reminded me of Blondie for some reason... Who was obviously originally know as Deborah Harry. Who was a back up singer for The Wind in The Willows! It's all connected man, it's all connected. Now meet me in the back of Oaky's buddy's VW and bring a 20 strip for us to split.
Wellllll, since you asked so nicely...
First pic is the next valley over from where I live.
Second pic is my valley, I live pretty much behind the taller tree in the middle. The ocean is off to the left but it was hazy that day.
Third pic is taken from my valley looking back to those hills in the first pic.
Nice looking area.
The mountains are sure shapely.
Thanks! It was all formed from an ancient volcano.
This image is obviously off google maps so....
The arrow points to around abouts where I live.
Ive put a circle around what was once a massive volcano. That volcano formed everything including all the headlands along the ocean.
In the centre of the circle is Mt Warning and Ive included a pic of that below. I took that pic when I quoted that property. Notice the lawn, circle jerked and terrible terracing. Anywhooo....
Awesome!!!! From looking at the map, it seems far away from you, but Nightcap National Park sounds like my type of place! I love camping, especially in National and State parks here in the States... I wish we had a Nightcap National Park.... I love nightcaps too!
Oh yeah, forgot to ask mdvaden... what is a nurse log?
It's apple mowing season again...
By next week they will be squishy when stepped on...
