Carburetors on 2-cycle and 4-cycle trimmers

    Are they the same carburetors? Does the carburetor
    know whether it's on a 2-cycle engine instead of a
    4-cycle engine? :confused:

    Ain't but one way of finding out.

    And to answer the question, in terms of operation there might be physical differences to the
    carburetors itself that make it an impossible fit, but if it were to fit then it should work all the same.

    Keep in mind the throttle connection, beyond it having to fit square over the intake, the fuel lines can
    be routed different as well if needed, but the throttle would usually be where the trouble begins...

    So there's the problem, will it fit and will the throttle work, if that works out then you should be gtg,
    now as to the answer to the fit question, like I said, ain't but one way of finding out.

    If you are trying to trouble shoot something then you better get a carb from the same model almost. I do that on Echo and they have of bunch of different carb on various models and years.
