casualties of lighning storm

    this pile of junk is from my biggest account. one of the clocks I just replaced 3 weeks ago (they are not to happy).

    sounds like you can sell them the grounding feature for an additional 200 $

    and it might work.

    Surprised the ICC's went - was the hit on the primary side, too?

    I'll post a pic of a Hunter pump-start relay that took a hit - not on the secondary side like you'd think, or even on the line side, just on the load side. Melted the cabinet, but wires are fine and pump not touched, nor was the SL1600 that pulls its power from the line side of relay.

    I replaced the panel on an ICC two weeks ago due to lightning as well. Solenoids and modules were fine though.

    Had a nice 1 today , took out the clock , 8 solonoids and 189 ft of wire.

    just that it was a brand new controller that got fried
