A friend is demoing one with High flow and a Bushwacker rotary cutter. I took a little spin in it and I will admit the ride is really nice.

My friend has a '12 289c. I have always liked the cabs in the caterpillars. The pilot controls aren't lightening fast like a taki though.

Wow, a C2. The pilots suck, and there is no seat adjustment for recline so you always feel and look like you are leaning forward.
But they have crazy torque at around 2000 rpm if you don't let the anti-stall kick in.

I demoed one last Summer. I also liked the ride. According to some on HEF the torsion system isnt bullet proof, but it certainly is an improvement in ride quality over a solid system.

It squeaks like a pig when the grease fitting seize on the torsion axles.

My taki rattles my brains out running on asphalt. If Taki had a cat cab...

I am curious if the 2012 models still have the shutter in the E/H?

My buddies '12 289c has some sort of shutter. I have been trying to find that video of bobcat ron and his shutter to show him. Got a link to it Ron?

I pulled the video down, but if you rev the engine up to half throttle, set the AMICS to #3 setting, lift the loader up, and give the pilot control a "flick", the machine will shutter so damn hard, it instantly cleans out the cab floor and quick attach of dirt. Truly amazing.
I want to see how the new C Series have got this "electronic snubbing" system on the cylinders to prevent dead ending on the loader, I think that everyone ought to have a snubbing system on the end and bottom of the loader cylinders, every time I load trucks, the cylinders smash to the end and I get crap off the bucket and the machine starts to rock and roll. Takeuchi had the BEST snubbing system, hands down, no way could to slam the loader up/down real hard.

The controls are not good. The boom up and down is way to fast. I think they have it adjusted wrong. The machine rocks forward and aft too much for my taste when you are moving dirt and the movement controls are slow to respond. How do you change the settings in the AMICS?
