cat d series excavators

    has anyone seen or run the new d series 304 or 305?

    i was looking to buy a 305c cr but may wait to run a new D first.

    any info?

    since when is there a new d series? did you run the 305c cr yet

    I haven't heard any info on the D's either, only good stuff on the bigger D's.

    A 305 is over priced no mater what letter is after it.

    what did you get quoted on it? i own one i felt i got a very good price

    D series minis don't exist yet. Could easily be a year before they are released.

    i had read a small article about the improvments of the new d's in the article in called them minis and had a pic of a 305 sive machine, i could not see the letters on the side to see if maybe they just threw a old mini pic on the article. i will ask my sales man for the low down. i just searched up and down for the mag but cant find it.

    i dont agree, i got a much better rate from cat then i did from deere or case for equal machines. deere was over 10k more for a 50d compared to a cat 305c cr. i belive a 304 is the equal to a 50d so that would be five grand less then the 305

    I was quoted 68K for 3 buckets, thumb and coupler on a 305C loaded. That was a 18 months ago when they were selling all that they could build. I am sure you could get a better deal now.
