Since I registered in CCR I'm getting a lot of offers for services to alert me of government contracts coming up for bid in the area. The prices seem to vary on these. Findrfp.com was the latest one I think.

Do any of you use these to alert you to bid opportunities, or do you just watch the newspaper etc?

One of the great things about having Gov. contracts in Florida is that the contractor can purchase some of the equipment I sell for 20% off.

This is the first time I have heard of the CCR. What are the advantages/disadvantages? Is it just a big pain in the rear, or has it actually opened up contracts to you?

Afaik I can go to the county's or city's seat of government and ask around, somewhere there is a list.
