I just put a cd player in my 87 suburban. I bought a SONY with RF output...thus it plays through the existing radio. It works very well and can be mounted anywhere. 10 disc cassette.
Two comments about buying....
1. once your know what you want, go to http://www.pricewatch.com and search for it there...you might save a lot of $$$$
2. i found mine via price watch at http://www.sbhcorp.com...20% below typical market price (not retail...market price). It's worth a look.
