    Warren,
Are you guys still planning on running your 8 row as well? What did you do with the 16 row? I looked, but didn't see any mention of it anywhere. It looks like you're still running the same size tillage equipment, so how much leeway are planning on giving the tillage tractors, to keep from running up their behinds with that 60 footer? Especially since you have all that bulk fill capacity to keep you planting. Since you moved up the planting capacity, when are we going to see a pair of 9120 Axial Flows for harvesting?

Have a safe and productive planting season, in case I can't post again for a while. Ground finally warm enough for produce and the grasses so no sleep till labor day.

Yes we are keeping the 8 row planter for this year just as an insurance policy. I don't expect it will plant much more than 100ac this year. The 16 row is sold and already delivered.

At most we'll be able to plant 300ac a day. That is the speed at which our farms dry up after a rain. We have the tillage capacity to work about 700ac a day. So with a 2 pass system we can still work more than the soil will bare. I'm hoping the tillage can't keep up to the planter. I'd like to get a 100-150ac of spraying done each evening as well, or as the season progresses 50-60ac of beans seeded.

2 9120's? Holy crap. You'll see them when you find me 5000 more acres. HAHA.

Good luck this spring. Catch you on the flip side of the crazy time!

That is one big planter. What is that disc at either end ? Is it something to help guide you ?

Row marker what you are talking about? If so one alternately folds out each pass, marking the center of your next row.

Got the steel made for the compressor mount

Last night I built a new monitor mount as the old one was too light to handle the weight of the FMX. Didn't expect it to be so heavy!

Ready to finished welding it and paint it green. Left room to build a spire between the seed hopper and the compressor for the GPS 2 receiver.

The cab mount looks a little overbuilt. You gonna paint it too or are you going for the spartan interior? Good thing you don't have a right hand door on that tractor, someone might try to use it. Are you going to add implement steering to the planter this year or are you planing for the future?

No such thing as overbuilt! Had to go that strong. That FMX is freaking heavy, didn't expect that. Also it is on an 8 inch ram mount pushing it about 5 inches away from the bar. Lots of twist action. The old mount couldn't take it, it twisted a couple inches back and fourth every bump.

Yes, there will be a second receiver on the planter this spring.

Worked on getting the tender set up. Made the box in the front bigger. Added a platform so we can dump bags into the pro boxes on the side

This is too funny, finally got the compressor installed only to get an email from precision telling us a component on it has been recalled....SIGH!

Dawn fertilizer openers. My got are they built well! At least twice the steel to them of a Deere.
