I always have used a case. It protects the saw, it protects you, and it protects where you store it so bar oil doesn't get all over the place

Always used a case. Not too keen on a 4-600 dollar saw just rolling around in the box of the pickup with whatever other crap is back there.

I use a case. It came with it so I'd be stupid not to use it.

I only use a bar cover and it gets stored with the hedge trimmers on the shelf in the trailer.

I don't use one. My saws get hung up inside the trailer

I just have a non-commercial saw "just in case" and I keep it in the case because it leaks bar oil like an old man with no bladder control.

I suppose an adult diaper would work too.

We have 3 stihl chainsaws. All 3 came with carrying cases so we use them, not just for the care of the saw, but because if we didnt use them, it would just take up space we could use for other equipment.

Mine came with a case. It is leaking bar oil, didn't think a new chain saw would do that.
