I have a Gravely 60 inch that is not new but new to me. How do I take off blades? Only experience I have is with a 36 in Snapper. Thanks for any input

If this unit has the newer style spindles without the blade cradles they can be a pain without a air or electric impact wrench. If you pin the blade with a short 2x4 and put a regular wrench on the blade bolt it may spin the whole shaft assembly, Sometimes if they are not too tight you can put a wrench on the top pulley nut and get them off. But again depending how tight they are could loosen the top nut before loosening the blade. If you plan on removing the blades often invest in a impact wrench.

i find changing blades without an impact to be downright dangerous. electric impacts, if you dont have access to a compressor, are so cheap now theres no excuse.
